2022 Diwali discounts: Rs 5,000 off on GT Force electric scooters. indiabusinessport.com

As part of the upcoming festive season, GT Force is offering a discount of Rs 5,000 on two of their scooters – GT Prime Plus and GT Flying. The GT Prime Plus usually has a price tag of Rs 56,692 but after the discount, the scooter now costs Rs 51,692. Similarly, the GT Flying now costs Rs 47,500, down from its regular price of Rs 52,500 (all prices are ex-showroom). This special discount offer is valid till October 31, 2022.

The GT Prime Plus is a low-speed electric scooter with a top speed capped at 25kmph. It is meant for short-distance commutes and is offered with either a 48V 28Ah lead acid battery or a 48V 26Ah lithium-ion battery. The lead-acid model delivers a range of 50-60km on a single charge and takes around 7-8 hours to charge. The lithium-ion version on the other hand offers a slightly higher range of 60-65km per charge and has a quicker charging time of 4-5 hours.

The other scooter enjoying Diwali discounts is the GT Flying. This is also a low-speed scooter and comes in both lead-acid and lithium-ion avatars. The charging times and range are very similar to that of the GT Prime Plus, however, there is a big difference in the design aspect. While the GT Prime looks like most modern scooters, the GT Flying opts for a more retro theme.
Both scooters have a load capacity of 130kg but the GT Prime Plus weighs in at 85kg while the GT Flying tips the scales at 82kg. The difference in design also results in a difference in seat height and ground clearance. GT Prime Plus has a seat height of 730mm and a ground clearance of 145mm while the GT Flying has a higher set seat at 760mm and also provides more ground clearance at 175mm. Both scooters come with an 18-month warranty for the motor. When it comes to batteries, the lead-acid battery has a warranty of one year and the lithium-ion battery has a warranty of three years.
