BENGALURU: A truck ferrying iron sheets and drums caught fire and was gutted on NICE Road near Kengeri on Sunday.
No casualties were reported in the incident that occurred around 4pm. One fire tender was pressed into service.
Traffic was disrupted for a little over 30 minutes as a result. According to police, the rear tyres of the truck caught fire first and it spread to the entire vehicle. There were three men in the truck, which was on its way from Kerala to Maharashtra and was passing through the city. All three men escaped unhurt.
