Days after floating a possible deal to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, billionaire Elon Musk has now offered a proposal to resolve the tensions between China and Taiwan. In an interview to the The Financial Times, the Tesla CEO suggested that tensions could be resolved by ‘handing over some control of Taiwan to Beijing’. Remember, China has vowed to bring Taiwan, the democratically ruled island nation, under its control. Chinese President Xi Jinping has earlier said that a ‘reunification’ with Taiwan ‘must be fulfilled’. Earlier, Musk’s ‘peace formula’ on Russia-Ukraine war drew ire from president Volodymyr Zelensky when he said that Kyiv permanently cede Crimea to Russia.
