Hero MotoCorp today finally launched its first-ever electric scooter, the Vida V1 at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom) at Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. Along with the Vida V1, Hero MotoCorp has launched the Vida platform and Vida services today.
The new Hero Vida V1 electric scooter is available in two variants – Vida V1 Plus and Vida V1 Pro. Bookings will begin from October 10, while deliveries are set to commence from the second week of December this year initially with Bengaluru.

The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter comes equipped with a list of features, including an LED headlamp, a 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, cruise control, 2-way throttle, key less control and SoS alert.
Other key features include a telescopic fork and a monoshock suspension system. For braking, the Hero Vida V1 gets a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. It has also received a split seat configuration, a retractable pillion seat, and a storage capacity of 26-litres.

The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter is available in three ride modes – Eco, Ride and Sports. Moreover, it gets a custom mode to provide more than 100 customizations for range and performance.

The Hero Vida V1 Pro will make use of a 3.94 kWh swappable battery, offering an IDC range of 165 km and sprints from 0-40 kmph in just 3.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 80 kmph.

The Vida V1 Plus electric scooter is powered by a 3.44 kWh swappable battery, offering an IDC range of 143 km. With a top speed of 80 kmph, it is capable of doing 0-40 kmph in 3.4 seconds. Both the batteries are equipped with fast charging at 1.2km/min.
The company states that the batteries can be charged form 0-80% in less than 65 minutes. Moreover, Hero MotoCorp will soon be coming up with Vida charging network.

The new Vida V1 electric scooter will be up against the likes of the Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather 450X, carrying a price tag of Rs 1.45 lakh.
