Jayati, who played the role of mataji in Sasural Simar Ka, says shares, “I was shooting for Sasural Simar Ka 2 and during my lunch break, I got to know about Vaishali’s death. I felt dizzy listening to the news and that feeling has still not gone away. I can’t believe that a girl like her who used to be full of life, had a great sense of humour and was always smiling took such a drastic step. If Vaishali comes in front of me right now, I will scold her for doing this and then shower her with a lot of love.”
Jayati says Vaishali was a very caring girl. Remembering an incident in 2016, she says, “I wanted to go to Ujjain and my flight was landing in Indore. Vaishali called me up to ask how I would travel from Indore to Ujjain alone. She sent her parents to pick me up at the airport and also sent some sweets along with them. I was so touched by what she did. Her parents’ faces came in front of me after I heard the news about her death yesterday.”

Jayati further adds, “If something was bothering her or somebody was harassing her, she should have shared it with share her parents or friends. She was very open about things and would talk to her parents freely. I don’t know why it was so difficult for her to share things with them this time, and why she had to take such a drastic step. It’s really heartbreaking… I feel a void in my heart even as I speak.”
