Mahindra & Mahindra announced last year the introduction of a special one-of-one edition of the XUV400 electric SUV which would be auctioned off to raise money for charity. The XUV400 special edition was designed by Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s chief design officer in collaboration with fashion designer Rimzim Dadu.
The one-of-one XUV400 has now been handed to the winner, Karunakar Kundavaram Reddy from Hyderabad last weekend. He made the winning bid of Rs 1 crore 75 thousand, and had the keys handed over to him by Anand Mahindra himself. The winning bid was announced over a month after the auction was commenced in December 2022.

The ‘Rimzim Dadu X Bose’ XUV400 has been finished in the Arctic Blue paint scheme with a copper roof. There’s also the Rimzim Dadu X Bose branding on the outside, as well as inside the cabin. There’s new seat upholstery and door inserts, however, the changes are limited to visual enhancements only. The XUV400 is currently priced from Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). As of now, the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV directly rivals the Tata Nexon EV in the Indian market.
