JAMMU: As part of the Centre’s public outreach programme, the Union minister of state for minority affairs, John Barlat will visit Ramban district on Tuesday.
The minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of multiple developmental projects under central schemes here.
Ramban deputy commissioner Mussarat Islam on Monday finalised the arrangements for the visit of the MoS at a meeting of the officers of district administration.
The deputy commissioner briefed the meeting about the tour programme of the visiting minister and the arrangements to be made by the concerned departments.
Meanwhile, the deputy commissioner also kick-started the mass awareness campaign about e-Waste Rules as approved by NGT in the district.
The campaign will be conducted in major schools, colleges, and Urban local bodies of the district for three months (till January 2023) and after that, the PROs will establish their E-waste collection centres in different towns of the district.
