Shweta Bachchan reveals mom Jaya Bachchan slapped her ‘a lot’ in childhood, quips dad Amitabh Bachchan gave better punishments | Hindi Movie News.

Navya Naveli Nanda got mom Shweta Bachchan and grandmom Jaya Bachchan opening up about their childhood days in the latest episode of her podcast.

Shweta spilled the beans about her life as the older child which meant that she would get ‘a lot’ of beating from her mom, while baby brother Abhishek Bachchan “hardly got slapped.”

Recalling how Jaya got her involved in several extra-curricular activities like Bharatnatyam, Hindi classical music, swimming, sitar and piano. But, she continued, “I got slapped a lot. The ruler got broken on me once. She used to beat me a lot.”

While the three ladies discussed how Abhishek was spared the ruler, Jaya added, “I believe always the first child gets thrashed. I got thrashed a lot as a child. My sisters didn’t.”

When a curious Navya asked why her mom got so much beating, Jaya revealed that Shweta was ‘very annoying and stubborn’ as a child. She also revealed that hubby Amitabh didn’t appreciate her raising her hands on the children. That prompted Shweta to say, “the maximum punishment dad gave was to stand in the corner.”

She went on to quip, I liked that punishment as I used to make stories, and talk to myself there in the corner.”

While Navya will release new episodes of her podcast every week, Jaya will be back on the big screen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
